Introduction to Nathan's world

Image
Welcome to my introduction blog, I hope after you read this you will get to know me a little better and I hope you enjoy!   So, my name is Nathan, I’m from Clondalkin in Dublin and I’m 20 years old but most people call me Gino it’s a nickname that stuck with me years ago and people have called me it ever since and to be honest I weirdly started to like it and I’m more used to it then my own name now.    Back in 2018 I finished school and from there I went on and did a PLC in Stillorgan College studying Event Management and Digital Marketing quickly enough when I was in the course I started to realize I liked the creative side of things a lot more than anything else for example creating posters and leaflets for events. After I discovered this, I started to research a bit into what I wanted to do after the PLC and luckily enough I found this course and as soon as I seen it, I knew it was for me. Reading 07

Image - GIF - Book For this week reading task we had to give two peer’s feedback from last weeks work and we also had to receive feedback and implement it in our work. When giving feedback I read through all the work then wrote the feedback in to a word file and then copy and pasted it to email to them. I then had to receive my feedback and change a few things around. I knew from the lecture on Thursday there was a few little things I had to change then the feedback confirmed it for me, it took me a while to go back over last week’s reading task and get the references, but after that there was only some small changes to be made. This was definitely one of the less time-consuming weeks but it is important to get the paragraphs too the highest standard I can, because they are important for going forward. Next week we will be writing an introduction and a concluision for our review, I am assuming this will be difficult enough but I will have to wait and see.  If cant access post c...

Unity Tutorial 05

Image
This week I found the Unity tutorials really interesting, but I also ran in to a lot of problems. I started to get some errors in places that just weren’t making sense I had exactly what was in the tutorials and it still wasn’t working I spent a long time going over and over trying to fix it but I couldn’t so I reset my PC to see if maybe that was the issue and it wasn’t. What I ended up doing was deleting and re doing a lot of it and it worked so basically I did some things twice.  The most interesting thing I feel like I learned this week was when making the game stop when the player hits an obstacle and I also found adding the running animations and death animations was really interesting and it was something completely new that we haven’t done before.   This was definitely the longest and toughest week I’ve had doing the tutorials because I ran into a lot of problems so I hope next week goes better for me then this week. This weeks tutorials weren’t exactly difficult it wa...
