Game Design Document

My GDD took me a while to complete as I knew what I was putting in there really was important information and I wanted to take my time with it to do it to the best of my abilities. 

My game is a horror / scary game named "House 666" and this GDD covers everything you would need to know to go on and create the game. (Link to my GDD)

I used Dundoc to create my GDD and I found it really useful, once you spend a few minutes on it you realise how simple it is to use. 

There was some small pieces I left out as I wasn't to sure on them at the moment and I also may add some sketches and screenshots time goes bye.

    I liked reading about your game design. It sounds like a game that would be so scary it would keep me up at night 😂. After I finished reading the blog, I read your GDD. And you can clearly see that you know exactly what your game is going to be. I hope you write some more blogs soon.

    Hi Nathan,
    Nice game idea, I love the way you took the horror route. its very you. I am very excited to see how the game turns out as i am a big fan of horror themed games or anything to do with horror. The name itself is scary haha. Will there be jump scares? i hope so. Will the player have a flash light? or will the game be lit up for the player to see? What if you put in scary singing in the game that the player can hear to really scare the player, creepy singing always gets people. Anyways it seems like a great idea, i wish you luck developing it and i look forward to see the end product. Nice work!

    Hey Nathan, just read your game design document and think its a really good idea! I love how you went for a horror game and it sounds like it could end up being really tense with the noises of the piano playing throughout the house. Have you ever played the game PT? It sounds like it could end up being a bit like that and I can't wait to play it! Hope it works out well for you!

    Hi Nathan, I'm just after reading your game design document and overall i think your game is actually a very good idea. I like the theme to chose "horror" and I'm kind of a fan of those games but the name of your game is well something else. I think you are the first I have seen that has two characters in the game. And I see instead of some type of creature/monster you used ghosts which is different but yet matches your game story. Besides all that I hope you get along well with your game can't wait to see how it turns out. Good luck!

Choosing my game So, the game idea I’m going to be working on for the rest of the semester is my scary game and I’m going to name it “house666”. The reason I’ve chosen the scary game is because I think it’s different and it will be really fun to make and hopefully not too difficult.
