Reading 07

For this week reading task we had to give two peer’s feedback from last weeks work and we also had to receive feedback and implement it in our work.

When giving feedback I read through all the work then wrote the feedback in to a word file and then copy and pasted it to email to them. I then had to receive my feedback and change a few things around. I knew from the lecture on Thursday there was a few little things I had to change then the feedback confirmed it for me, it took me a while to go back over last week’s reading task and get the references, but after that there was only some small changes to be made.

This was definitely one of the less time-consuming weeks but it is important to get the paragraphs too the highest standard I can, because they are important for going forward. Next week we will be writing an introduction and a concluision for our review, I am assuming this will be difficult enough but I will have to wait and see.

Game Idea Research

Choosing my game So, the game idea I’m going to be working on for the rest of the semester is my scary game and I’m going to name it “house666”. The reason I’ve chosen the scary game is because I think it’s different and it will be really fun to make and hopefully not too difficult. The name I’ve chosen simply came to me because the game is going to be based in a house and the devil’s numbers are 666, so as soon as you see 666 you know what you’re in for.  Image - Creepy House Brief description of the game I have discussed this in my first game brainstorm but I have changed my mind a little so, firstly the game will be based in a house and your overall objective is to get out of the house of course it won’t be that simple so you’ve to complete some objectives and get out. Game Design Document

My GDD took me a while to complete as I knew what I was putting in there really was important information and I wanted to take my time with it to do it to the best of my abilities.  My game is a horror / scary game named "House 666" and this GDD covers everything you would need to know to go on and create the game. ( Link to my GDD ) Image - Scary Game GIF I used Dundoc to create my GDD and I found it really useful, once you spend a few minutes on it you realise how simple it is to use.  There was some small pieces I left out as I wasn't to sure on them at the moment and I also may add some sketches and screenshots time goes bye.
